Plod through the burning sands of the Scorpion Desert and search through the giant Pyramids. If you make it as far as the Hi Ho forest, you’ll have to fight your way through the trees. Waiting for you on the other side of the forest is Tropics Town, sister city to Rookietown. The toughest part of your journey begins in the dangerous Rocky Mountain area, and your adventure concludes with the final showdown in Sky Castle.

In the different areas, such as Rookietown and the Prairie, try doing little jump-kicks on the ground. You may find that things are not as solid as they appear, and you can drop into secret underground rooms. Watch for Ashra’s creatures everywhere you go. They’re out to yet you and they’ll stop at nothing. Rookietown and Tropics Town are populated by speeding cars and low-flying planes. Underwater, strange creatures like the Puffer-fish, Spinning Turtles, Starfish, and a large red Octopus attack you.

Bees, Masked Woodcutters, and Maniac Monkeys make sure the forest is no walk in the park. In the skies above the Sky Castle, Blimps attack, and the castle itself is guarded by Ashra’s soldiers. But don’t be fooled by their appearance, or by the gentle tone of the entire game—just journey through 11 different stages, from prairies to the depths of the sea, through forests, deserts, and pyramids.

New to the game is the pogo stick, which gives Alex high-jump capabilities. During his travels in Paperock, Alex will come upon various obstacles, including breakable rocks, which he can punch apart or push; indestructible rocks, which he can push only; and rubber rocks, on which he can bounce.
